Velvet Revolver and Alice in Chains? Lets tie Alice up again!

Want to know where to go for an action packed night? Then look no further. On Sunday, Oct. 7 Velvet Revolver, Alice in Chains and Sparta will be rocking out at the SoundAdvice Ampitheatre in West Palm Beach.

If you hadn't already known, Velvet revolver consists of veterans to the rock scene previously belonging to such bands as Guns N'Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, and Wasted Youth. You can check out their entire background on Wikipedia. An interesting factoid about the band that I learned on Wikipedia is that they stood in for Van Halen for their induction ceremony and was introduced by Sammy Hagar as "the best rock and roll band left on the planet." Now THAT is an honor!

Their co-headliner, Alice in Chains is best known for their popularity in the 1990s. According to Wikipedia the band formed in Seattle and was widely influenced by heavy metal music but due to their dark lyrics, which is now known to be caused by ex-vocalist Layne Staley's addiction to heroine, they were coined as a part of the grunge era. To find out more information about the band check out this site!

If you want to relive the days of Rock and Roll then you MUST get tickets to this show. Yea it stinks you have to work the next day but it's well worth it!

Also, be sure to check out each bands website!
